In 1983 he decided to venture as an independent businessman on his own, and set up the company: JAMONES EL CHATO, SA located in TORRIJOS (Toledo), marketing various representations and installing a drying room for the manufacture of Serrano ham that cured around 5,000 pieces per year, with a staff of 3 employees
In this way, it grew little by little and with great effort until the year 1990, when it was decided to expand to new dryers, thus reaching an annual production of 50,000 pieces, increasing facilities, truck fleet, packaging line and number. of employees.
In recent years, we have implemented a sausage slicing room to meet the daily needs of our customers, offering an assortment of both products and sales formats for hams, shoulders, sausages, loins, salami and cold cuts.
In the 1990s, it continued to expand its facilities, carrying out 4 large phases of drying room expansion, resulting in a surface area of 20,000 m2.
Currently EL CHATO, SA is a modern, dynamic, innovative company, adapted to new technologies, of a family nature, with a staff of 50 employees.
With facilities that have the capacity to produce 1,000,000 pieces of Serrano ham, Iberian ham and shoulders per year, our articles are established throughout the national geography and we export to all the countries of the European Community and the rest of the world.
Our desire to improve made us every day go beyond the barriers of our regional market, towards the national market, we began by appearing at Large Food and Sector Fairs, to establish business relationships, with supermarket chains, distributors, department stores, wholesale establishments, betting for our quality, service, brands and our products.
We also have contact with community clients throughout Europe. Exhibiting at International Fairs in Sial, London, Anuga, Milan etc.
Currently our brands JASETO, (Jamón Serrano Torrijos) and EL CHATO, which are established and can be purchased in Shopping Centers, Large Supermarket Chains, restaurants, etc. And a new brand for the manufacture of acorn-fed Iberian products: "LA DEHESA MANCHEGA".
